McPixel packs a lot of content though, but it’s very repetitive. The game’s humour, to put it nicely, is rather niche. The solutions are purposefully obscure, illogical, nonsensical, and can be crude, leading to outcomes that are funny, perplexing, frustrating, and/or plainly stupid.

Like MacGruber, you’re meant to fail repeatedly. In this game, you have 20 seconds to defuse an explosive using items in your environment in one, at most two, mouse clicks.

McPixel is a parody of MacGruber, so this game is quite far removed from the original TV show. Of course, the gag was that MacGruber would fail every single time. As a parody of MacGyver, this sketch featured the incompetent title character repeatedly trying to defuse a bomb within a 15- to 20-second timeframe. Then in 2007, the long-running comedy sketch show, Saturday Night Live, introduced us to MacGruber. The titular hero of the show was adept in using typical objects in his surroundings to solve complex problems. Back in mid 1980s and early 90s in the U.S., there was a TV show called MacGyver.
